August 12 - Many new paintings.

Since I am out of large supports I am starting to make some smaller paintings. 8x8's, 24x24's, and 30x30's. More paintings revolving around water. Lots more to come in this next week. My parents have gone up state to teach a workshop. So I'm going to use all the free time to crank out as many works as I can. Today I started 6 new paintings.

New Tool Drawings

Here are two new tool drawings. Well drawings/paintings. These are the first two in furthering the process on these things. Not only drawing with charcoal, pencil and other dry mediums. Now starting to use watercolor, gouache and conté in between passes to see how it can advance the visual excitement. In the end giving them at least for me a more personal feel.

Here is where you can see them all - http://paulfiore.com/instruments.html

Early Morning on the Deleware

Another early day today. My dad and me woke up around 5 to go photograph. The idea was to capture the first break of light. It turned out a heavy fog was in the valley and it never came out strong. But that does not mean the day went to waste. In fact I think I came back with something even more powerful then a beautiful sunrise. In stead of bright vibrant color, the sky and water both were filled with soft subtle light. All sorts of reds, blues, yellows, and greens that to me captivate my eye more then those bright vibrant colors everyone thinks of when you say "sunrise".

Canvases are prepped and ready to go.
